Your blog is awesome! I’m finding them quite helpful. One question that I would like to get answered is what are some key things to look for when buying a computer/laptop? What does all that technical jargon mean?

Welcome to the Technology Blog! That is a great question to ask. First, can I recommend that you read my blog entry titled What The Heck Is Inside A Computer? This will give you an idea of what is inside a computer to begin with. Before buying a new computer, first ask yourself what you will be using the computer for. If its just for simple tasks such as web browsing, email, word processing, etc. then literally any computer deal should suffice. However, if you are planning to be doing multimedia intensive processing such as Video Games and Video Editing, make sure to spend a little bit more money. A dedicated video card is also a must for running multimedia applications. Apple made iMacs are great for this purpose as well.

Regardless, here are a few recommendations for a new computer:

    -64 bit Central Processing Unit
-Dual Core Central Processing Unit (Quad Core even better, but more expensive)
-At least 2 Gigabytes of RAM

    Good Luck!

    Colin.
