What is a BlackBerry?
The BlackBerry is a popular cell phone model made by the Canadian Technology company Research In Motion. Because the BlackBerry is capable of doing much more than simply telephone calls, it is classified as being a smartphone. Consequently, the BlackBerry phones have been a smash hit in the business community. Lets take a look at some of the colourful features built-in to the BlackBerry.
BlackBerry cell phones have some great capabilities beyond being just a mobile phone. Many BlackBerries come with digital picture cameras, and digital video recorders. Already, thats like having 3 pieces of electronics all built into one! However, this is just the beginning.
The phone has the capability of sending Text Messages, as well as email. Furthermore you can surf the World Wide Web directly on your phone! What does this all mean? You basically have an entire computer built right into a small handheld cell phone. Wow!
A BlackBerry is capable of storing your entire address book with all the fixins. You can select a contact of yours from within the address book, call them, text them, or email them. How cool is that?
The phone has buttons for all 26 letters of the alphabet, which is unique because most cell phones only have buttons for the 9 numerical digits. This is great for typing a text message or email - it makes things simple.
The only drawbacks with the BlackBerries are the small screen size, and the small size of the buttons. But for a mobile device, its hard to beat! The real competitor for the BlackBerry is the new iPhone from Apple
